About This Course

Welcome to Thriving as the Daughter of the Narcissistic Mother!

The Motherless Daughters Ministry was founded in the year 2000. We have continuously improved how we serve motherless daughters. Serving women who experienced a narcissistic mother, regardless if their mother is living or deceased, is part of our focused mission.

In 2015, the ministry developed a course for women who have or have had a Narcissistic Mother, Daughters of the Narcissistic Mother. Since that time, we have helped numerous women learn how narcissism has affected their life. They are empowered to make decisions about how they will let narcissism affect them going forward and to affirm for who they are today.

We began offering an onsite a 6-week program in 2016 for groups of women. We offer this 6-week course online also. These courses continue. Overwhelming requests for online, independent programming with support has birthed what you are about to begin.

Please be aware that we use the term "narcissistic" freely throughout this course. This is not meant to be a diagnosis. Narcissism is a spectrum disorder. Someone may be anywhere along the spectrum and display narcissistic behaviors. Instead of repeating narcissistic behaviors every time, we will use the term narcissism as inclusive but not a diagnostic term.

We are a faith-based organization. Throughout this course we offer you prayer and scripture as you journey if you chose.

Course Transformation

When you have lived as the daughter of a narcissistic mother, becoming YOU has been a lifelong challenge.  We are here to help you discover who you are, what narcissism did to you, and empower you to make choices for the rest of your life.  

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

1. Define narcissism in your role of a daughter and its effects on you over the years.
2. Recognize the effects of narcissism on your life today. 
3. Discover the roots of narcissism in your family of origin.  
4. Learn how to set and keep boundaries with your narcissistic mother.
5. Separate your identity from your mother.  
6. Re-frame the verbal and non-verbal messages you received from your narcissistic mother. 
7. Discuss how image impacted you and how it affects you today. 
8. Discover how you carry and live out those effects.
9. Identify how you are connected and not connected to your mother's identity. 
10. Create positive affirmations for the woman you have become.
